When "Finding Joy" came out inI was in a dark place in my life. I was working at bookstore as the buyer for the Psychology/Spirituality section when this lovely little treasure first hit the shelves. This lovely book helped me find my way back to the joy that was buried in me and breathe life back into my soul/5(32).
Finding Joy is a sweet story about the adoption of a Chinese girl who was abandoned by her birth mother and father. Readers learn in this book that China only allows families to have one child to control the population.
More girls are abandoned in China than boys, so Joy had a great risk of being left behind by her mother and father/5. "Finding Joy" was an appropriate name for this book. I would love to see Melanie Snitker continue with this series.
